A spacious, focused approach to processing loss
Grief does not move in a straight line. It arrives in waves, shows up in the body, and often resurfaces long after the world expects you to be “back to normal.” For many people, weekly therapy can feel too slow or too fragmented to meet the depth of what grief asks for.
Grief & Loss EMDR Intensives offer extended, personalized sessions designed to gently support your nervous system while helping you process the emotional, relational, and somatic impacts of loss. This is not about rushing grief, but about creating enough space, safety, and continuity for meaningful healing.
What Makes Grief-Focused EMDR Different
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is often associated with trauma, but it can be especially supportive for grief and loss when approached with care and attunement.
In grief-focused EMDR intensives, we may work with:
The moment you learned of the loss
Unfinished goodbyes, regrets, or unresolved relational dynamics
Images, sensations, or emotions that feel stuck in the body
Secondary losses (identity, safety, community, meaning)
Blocks to mourning, including numbness or emotional shutdown
Sessions are guided by your nervous system’s capacity. Resourcing, stabilization, and somatic support are woven throughout, and reprocessing is only introduced when your system is ready.
